Antique Evinrude Outboard Propeller Laser Cleaning — Marine Restoration

A vintage Evinrude aluminum-bronze propeller carried marine corrosion, barnacles, and old paint into the bay shop. Pulsed fiber work was set to ablate those films without cutting trailing-edge geometry, so the blades kept their profile instead of losing metal to grit during rust removal.

Heavy barnacle deposits, oxidation, and multiple paint layers had built up on the aluminum-bronze blades over decades of saltwater exposure. Traditional abrasive blasting would have altered blade pitch and geometry.
