ROD 1000 Bright+ narran.cz (opens in new tab)
Narran deployed the ROD 1000 platform for reactor-shaft decontamination at Temelin nuclear plant; the Bright+ pulse set sharpens that pedigree. Doubling per-pulse energy to 100 mJ across 20-100 ns pulses, it reaches 1,700 kW peak, spalling oxides and carbonized layers off carbon steel without scarring the substrate. It matches the flagship ROD 2000 Bright+ per-pulse punch at half its 2000 W heat load.
Published values come from public manufacturer datasheets and product pages. If you represent Narran and see an error, outdated figure, or missing model, send a short correction with a public source URL and we will review it.
| Peak power | 1700 kW |
| Fluence at 2 mm spot | 3.1831 J/cm² |
| Fluence at 5 mm spot | 0.5093 J/cm² |
| Overlap (cleaning) | 60–80% |
Field spot diameter varies by scan head — 2 mm and 5 mm are representative values for handheld cleaning heads.
